What We Do

At Connect JPN, we purchase and restore homes across Japan to serve as community hubs. Safe and welcoming spaces where people can gather, receive support, and build meaningful connections. Each property is tailored to meet the unique needs of its community, with a vision to cultivate hope, healing, and belonging.

We work closely with local leaders, volunteers, and Oregon-based missionaries to establish homes that offer:

  • Disaster Relief Support
  • Ministry and Outreach
  • Educational Programs
  • Creative Opportunities for Connection

   Our Mission in Action

We believe every community has its own unique needs. That’s why each Connect JPN property is shaped by listening first and asking, “What would make life better for our neighbors here?”

Community Homes

Below are some of the ways we see Connect JPN properties making a difference:

  • Safe spaces for friendship, learning, and care
  • Free cafes offering meals, conversation, and encouragement
  • After-school programs
  • Language classes
  • Bible studies and small groups for those seeking spiritual community
  • Support groups offering encouragement
  • Hosting mission teams from Oregon
  • Prayer spaces for emotional and spiritual care

Disaster Relief Hubs

  • Homes that serve as emergency shelters during natural disasters
  • Storage for supplies and equipment used in relief work
  • Partnering with local relief teams to meet immediate needs

Why It Matters

Japan is experiencing a housing crisis. Not from a lack of homes, but from abandoned properties left behind in depopulated areas. These empty homes represent not just a loss of life but a loss of hope for many small towns.

Connect JPN aims to restore these spaces, filling them with life, care, and connection, showing neighbors, they are not forgotten.
